Parfix 3770 Superglue (C yanoacrylate) Primer in 1 Gallon Container

PARFIX 3770 cyanoacrylate primer is a solvent based surface primer specially formulated to make polypropylene,  thermoplastic polyolefin and other low surface energy plastics suitable for bonding with cyanoacrylate adhesive.

Applications:

Used to promote the adhesion of polypropylene, polyethylene, and thermoplastic polyolefin to themselves or to other materials. Primer also increases the adhesion of filled polyolefin, polypropylene, thermoplastic polyolefin, rubbers and many other low energy surface plastics.

Directions for Use:

1. Primer may be applied to the surface by brush or spray. Only one coat of primer is recommended. Multiple coats may result in reduced adhesion.

Optimum primer-coating thickness is depending upon the plastic type and area of application. Testing to determine the optimum primer thickness is recommended.

2. Allow primer to dry for approx. 3 minutes.

3. Bond parts with cyanoacrylate adhesives based on application requirement.

If the joint consists of two polyolefin-type materials, the primer is applied to both surfaces.

If the joint involves only one bond between a polyolefin and a more active or easier-to-bond material, only apply the primer to the polyolefin.

4. The cyanoacrylate adhesive should then be applied the active material. The adhesive should be applied within 6 hours for optimum bond values. If necessary primer can be re-applied after six hours. Bonding operations involving adhesives should be completed immediately after applying the adhesive to one of the surfaces.
